This position may lead to full-timeemployment dependent on demonstrated work ethic, exemplary performance as a part-timetructor, and a proven commitment to the mission of TCAT-Newbern.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required: Associate Degree/Technical Diploma preferredMinimum five years experience in the diesel fieldMedium/Heavy Duty Truck Master ASE Certified or ability to be master certified within 12 monthsEvidence of ability to teach studentsthe organizational and communication skills necessary to be an effective teacherMust have ability to interact with adult and high school dual enrollment studentsCommitment to remain current in the diesel field and maintain accrediting statusMust show evidence of good character, mature attitude, and stable personality. Must possess average computer skilsGeneral Duties:·Teach all areas of Diesel Powered Equipment Technology2. Monitor, grade, and evaluate students progress and maintain student records3.Assist in recruitment and placement of students4. Maintain appropriate records and submit timely reports5. Participate in professional development activitiesMaintain good public relations with business and industry7.
